RDF & SRF are environmentally beneficial and economical alternative energy sources, produced from non-recyclable municipal and industrial waste. RDF & SRF supplement or replace Green Petroleum Coke and Coal and can be used by production facilities with little or no modification in their solid fuel systems. SRF is used to power various heat treatment plants, including cement factories, heating plants, industrial furnaces, etc.
Renelux’s RDF & SRF are sourced from large-scale waste management facilities in Europe and USA. RDF & SRF calorific value ranges from 3.580 up to 5.000 kcal/kg, depending on the type of waste in the country of origin and the production process. RDF & SRF are low-ash low-sulfur alternative fuels that may be eligible for Renewable Energy Credits in some countries.
SRF is a high quality alternative fuel that is mainly composed of non-hazardous waste such as wood, paper, and textiles, in compliance with the European standard EN 15359. SRF is free from food, metals, glass and rubble, up to a level of 2.5%.
SRF has higher calorific value than RDF due to additional processing that this fuel has gone through. As a result, SRF is a very competitive fuel for cement kilns and other industrial facilities.

Packing
SRF id packed in bales wrapped with PE film and bound with plastic strips. The bales are up to 1.4m Length, 1.1m width and 1.1m high. Each bale approximately weighing 1.3 tons. Loading capacity per 40ft container is about 25.5 tones and stowage factor for bulk shipments is 2.1 cubic meters per ton.
Advantages
 |
SRF is a source of energy that's not subject to the price volatility of traditional fossil fuels |
 |
The quality of SRF can be established on an individual basis (as special fuel blend), in accordance with the requirements of the end user |
 |
SRF is a Non-hazardous waste |
 |
SRF combustion is recognized as neutral in terms of CO2 emissions |
